Book Fair 2026 – what, where and when
The Helsinki Book Fair runs 22–25 October 2026 at Helsinki Messukeskus. The organiser describes it as a nationally significant cultural forum and the largest literary event in the Nordic countries. Programme and ticket details are on the event website.
Why rent a car
The fair is a day trip for many visitors from across southern Finland. A car is the easier option when you travel as a group, when the day continues elsewhere in the capital region, or when you buy more books than fit in a backpack.
Pick-up in Itä-Pasila
Our office is at Ratapihantie 11 in Itä-Pasila, the same district as Messukeskus, so you can arrive by train, visit the fair and collect the car afterwards. We are open on weekdays 9:30–17:00 and at weekends by agreement – please call before visiting, as we are often on the move.
Which car?
A Hyundai i20 is easy to park, a Toyota Corolla suits a couple of passengers, and the Kia Ceed Sportswagon estate offers 625 litres of boot space according to Kia – the right choice if you are leaving with boxes.
